Use AI to enhance your product descriptions, add buying criteria, and generate comprehensive content that drives conversions.

What is product optimization?

Product optimization uses advanced AI to generate high-quality, SEO-friendly content for your products. This includes enhanced descriptions, buying guides, use cases, and long-form content that helps customers make better purchasing decisions.

All generated content is tailored to your brand voice and optimized for search engines, helping improve your product visibility and conversion rates.

Available content types

  • IRL Scenario Cards: Real-life usage scenarios with contextual information, related products, and benefits. High impact for AI visibility.
  • Enhanced JSON-LD Schema: Structured data markup for search engines: product schema, reviews, FAQ, and breadcrumb navigation.
  • Internal Linking Recommendations: Semantic internal link suggestions based on product relationships, related products, and category pages.
  • Product Description: CTA-driven product descriptions with attributes and specifications, optimized for conversion.
  • Meta Tags and SEO Optimization: Optimized title tags, meta descriptions, Open Graph tags, and Twitter Card markup.

Product-level internal link suggestions are generated when you select "Internal Linking Recommendations." For internal linking in blog and listicle content, configure Settings, Internal Linking. See the Internal Linking guide for details.

Setting up optimization

1. Select products

Choose which products you want to optimize. You can select individual products, filter by category, or select all products in your inventory.

2. Choose content types

Select which types of content you want to generate for each product. You can choose multiple types, and each will be generated based on your product data.

Configure brand voice

Define your brand's tone and style:

  • Tone: Professional, Casual, Friendly, Authoritative, and more.
  • Content Style: Detailed, Concise, Conversational, and more.
  • Target Audience: General Consumer, B2B, Technical, and more.
  • Language Complexity: Simple, Moderate, Advanced.

Set generation parameters

Customize how content is generated:

  • IRL Scenarios: Number of real-world use cases per product.
  • Content Length: Short, Medium, or Long content.
  • Creativity Level: Conservative to Creative (1 to 5 scale).
  • Include Competitor Comparisons: Compare with similar products.
  • Generate FAQ: Create frequently asked questions.
  • Include Technical Specs: Add detailed technical information.

3. Configure rules (optional)

Set up custom rules for content generation. Rules can include specific keywords to include, formatting requirements, or content structure guidelines.

Launch generation

Review your configuration and launch the content generation process. You'll receive notifications when generation is complete, and all content will be available in the Review and Approval section.

Best practices

  • Start small: Test optimization on a small set of products first to ensure the generated content matches your brand voice before scaling up.
  • Define clear brand voice: Take time to configure your brand voice accurately. This ensures all generated content is consistent with your brand identity.
  • Review before deployment: Always review generated content in the Review and Approval section before deploying to ensure quality and accuracy.

Pro tips

  • Higher creativity levels work best for lifestyle and fashion products, while technical products benefit from more conservative settings.
  • Use competitor comparisons for products in competitive markets to highlight unique selling points.
  • Generate FAQs for complex products to address common customer questions upfront.
  • Save your optimization configuration as a draft to reuse for future batches of products.
